About Team Motivated Motion

The 2010 Grass-roots effort of Lynn and Alex Tucker
Team Motivated Motion was created to make the 60km walkathon trek for The Shoppers Drug Mart Walk For Women's Cancers in Toronto
The Focus: To watch the team grow, and follow the progress for as long as it lasts. To give recognition to everyone who helps us work towards our goal. Plus to encourage folks to join us in the walk.
It is hard on a family when a loved-one is stricken with an illness that could potentially take their life. The person who is ill must recover, yet life still goes on, and the recovery must blend into the cadence of the family life. The hardest thing is Finding A New Normal. We represent all those who are struggling with this task. We walk for YOU.

The Walk Is Tomorrow

Well, this year has been low key for the fundraising, unlike other years.
But I must say that this year I had great fun planning my fundraising event.
By the sounds of it Carnival Diablo enjoyed the collaboration, so I am definitely hoping to be on board with them next year.
Next year is the 20th anniversary of Carnival Diablo, so I will have to plan a raffle give-away keeping with the theme of the 20th anniversary. I have been boiling something up in my caldron!

We raised $260.00 for the event.

Today was also the draw for the handmade shawl.
The winner of the shawl is: Mrs Doris Ferguson of Carleton Place

I am saddened to say, that upon contacting the family of Doris Ferguson I found out she passed away on September 1st. She lost her own battle with cancer. My heart breaks for her family. Such a loss of such a sweet soul. This is why I fundraise. I have watched too many pass from this disease and so far I have been spared. I don't take life for granted and because I feel blessed I feel I have to give back.
I will send the shawl to her daughter Jody, and perhaps it will help comfort her a little when she is missing Mom.

I will ask for the prayer circle to put her family in our prayers.

Thanks to everyone else for participating.

I Will Be Joining Carnival Diablo Festival Of Wonders

It is official.

Lynn Tucker will be joining Carnival Diablo Festival Of Wonders for two very special afternoon shows on the outside stage! On Saturday July 30 and Sunday July 31.

This rare chance to see Lynn do her public Psychometry readings is something you should not miss.

100% of the proceeds of these two shows goes to The Shoppers Drug Mart Walk For Women's Cancers.

Psychometry is a psychic reading of a small personal object or a photograph.
Once on the stage Lynn pulls envelopes of items unknown to her and begins her readings.

You will pay a donation fee per item you wish read. Your donations go to the cause.

Lynn has been the consultant medium for PSICAN (Paranormal Sciences and Investigations Canada) since 2006.

Carnival Diablo Festival of wonders is happening in Carleton Place, Ontario just East of Perth off of HWY 7. There is information about show tickets and ordering tickets online on the Website. Just click on the Carnival Diablo Festival of Wonders links or Picture.

This is a great weekend of events whether you come for a day trip or you come and stay over the weekend. There is camping on site, or there are hotels in the area. You must book early because the Festival Features are very popular!

Come and join us! Help a Cause and Meet the Weird, the Wonderful and Fantastic!

Lynn does not do private readings. Only public readings for official Charities or Non Profit Organizations.

2011 Fundraising Has Begun!

The Draw
The Draw Prize

Last year I created this amazing wool and silk shawl. It is by hand, by me. It is a $200.00 value item.
The picture on this natural white background piece is a Purple Cone Flower that looks like a sunburst or wings.
This item is very warm and very very lightweight.

Every donation of $10.00 or over by online donation through the pink donation bar will give you a ballot into the draw. The draw start date is July 7, 2011 and it ends at Noon EST on September 9th. The donation bar is in the sidebar of the blog.

(Note the site will ask you to register to donate. You will be given an option to choose to make your name and donation public in my honour roll or you can make your name and donat
ion anonymous. Either way I get an email contact for you and a name so I can make sure your receipts get to you and to make sure you get a personalized Thank You from me, so I will use that info for the ballot. I will mention the ballot for the draw in your Thank You Note too.)

The ballots will be
created through the email address, name you give when you register to donate

Lynn's Story

My Story started back in 1993, when I was a young mother with two baby sons. I was diagnosed with two quickly evolving pre-cancerous conditions.

I had to have a hysterectomy quickly so things did not progress too fast and reduce my chances of survival.

Then in 2009 a routine examination revealed another related cancer in very early stages that was removed. At that time the gynecologist explained to me that it would definitely return so I would have to return every six months for a complete examination in hopes of revealing things early so I would be able to have another surgery and have a fighting chance.

Two more six month examinations came, each revealing another bit that would have to be removed.

Last year I participated and stayed overnight in a tent and had a blast! I was so happy to do it! I planned on doing it this year. Some unexpected health issues came up this year and I had to go on a medication that I need to be on for a while before I could be comfortable pushing myself to my limits and staying over night in a tent, so I am giving the walk a rest, but I will be participating as a fundraiser anyhow.

This spring I was not so optimistic when I headed to the examination. But this time it was different. This time the Dr. said, "See you in six months!" and not, "Oh, oh time for surgery again." I was very excited to finally get the-all-clear
